Tariff Update: Important Information for U.S. Customers

The United States has introduced a 50% tariff on many Canadian goods and services, including cosmetics and clothing, effective August 22. Here’s what this means for orders shipped from Bonjou Beauty to the U.S.

What you need to know

• All shipments to the United States will now be subject to a 50% tariff.
• Tariffs are calculated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) based on the value of the goods.
• These charges are collected directly from customers.
• Our product prices are not increasing, and we will continue offering free shipping on orders $100+ for U.S. customers.

How we’re helping offset costs

• Free shipping remains available for U.S. orders over $100. Although international shipping rates are changing under the new order, we will absorb those costs.
• Because all Bonjou Beauty products are made in Canada, we do not pay incoming tariffs — allowing us to keep our prices stable.
• The current exchange rate ($1.38 CAD ≈ $1.00 USD) helps keep product pricing favourable for U.S. customers. If the exchange rate shifts significantly, we will reassess pricing.

Shipping partners

We will continue using Canada Post as our primary carrier, with UPS and Purolator as backup options.
